Education, patrols mark Bike Month

Education, patrols mark Bike Month

Conway, AR – Bicycles have the same rights to the roadways of Conway as motor vehicles. But riders have to observe the same rules of the road as motor vehicles; all traffic laws are applicable to bicycles.

Enforcing traffic laws whether for vehicles or bikers is something CPD takes very seriously on a daily basis.  During the week of May 12-18, as Conway Advocates for Bicycling celebrate National Bike Month, CPD will step up efforts to enforce traffic laws with an emphasis on bike laws.  Violators of the laws could be ticketed.  In 2012 the CPD dealt with several crashes involving bikers.
