Local bank accounts accessed, used in Florida

Several Conway residents reported to the police over the weekend that their Centennial bank accounts had been accessed and used to make purchases in Florida.

At least four police reports from the weekend indicated that Conway residents who bank at Centennial Bank had suspicious charges associated with their accounts from Target, McDonalds, Home Depot, 7-11 and Walgreens. The incident reports showed fraudulent charges ranging from $146.92 to $753.58.

Each of the victims were told to contact the three major credit bureaus about the incident.

A Conway woman was charged with DWI Saturday after she reportedly crashed her Chevrolet Impala into a wire fence after leaving the roadway in the 400 block of 2nd Street. Police arrived at the scene and discovered Tammy Wynette Bradley, 21, slumped over and passed out behind the wheel in the driver’s seat of the car.

Among reports recently released by the Conway Police Department:

1. Several fraudulent checks were used to purchase items at O’Reilly Auto Parts between March 15 and March 18.

An officer reported to the store yesterday and the owner told the officer she believed a man had been paying with stolen checks.

The first known purchase occurred March 15 when the man bought several items with a check barring the name of Mandy Harness. The clerk did not check the man’s ID, but the man wrote a drivers license number on the check and signed it as Mandy Harness.
