LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Panera Bread backery cafes in north, west and central Arkansas will donate $1 for every frozen beverage purchased on Friday, Aug. 17 to several different programs focused on feeding children.

• Bentonville and Fayetteville proceeds go to the Samaritan Community Center Snack Pack Program
• Fort Smith proceeds go to the Community Clearinghouse
• Conway proceeds go to the Conway Public School Foundation
• Little Rock proceeds go to Arkansas Rice Depot
• North Little Rock proceeds go to Central Baptist Food Pantry's NLR Public School snack pack program

Frozen beverages include frozen mocha, iced lattes, smoothies and more.

Panera Bread in Arkansas has donated over $3,500 so far this year to the snack pack programs, and continue to supply food to local pantries each week.

Maybe, for whatever reason, you’ve found yourself away from family this Thanksgiving. Maybe you have to work and end up missing the big family gathering. Or maybe you just don’t feel like celebrating the “traditional” holiday and are looking to do something completely different.

One location restaurant chain prepares to expand in Little Rock, while a national name is setting its sights on well-trafficked corner of the capital city, according to this week's Arkansas Business newspaper.

First, Larry's Pizza, the buffet-style pizza slinger that opened its first location in southwest Little Rock in 1992, is adding a second west Little Rock location, this one at 801 S. Bowman Road. The space once housed Dragon Palace Buffet at the Bowman Station project. The new Larry's will be about 7,500 square feet.

But the chain isn't stopping there.
